- With today’s loss to Tulane, Memphis now leads the all-time series 45-10.
- The Tigers hold a 27-3 lead in the series in games played in Memphis.
- Tulane’s win today broke a string of 22-straight victories by Memphis in the series. Prior to today’s victory, the last time the Green Wave posted a win over the Tigers was in the 1999-2000 season (64-63 in New Orleans).
- Tulane’s win today was the first by the Green Wave in the city of Memphis since the 1992-93 season. That year, Tulane posted an 86-85 win over Memphis at The Pyramid on Dec. 9, 1992.
- Tulane’s win today in the city of Memphis was the Green Wave’s first as conference foes since 1982-83 (the 1992 Tulane victory was as non-conference opponents). Tulane won that 1982-83 Metro Conference match-up 56-54 at the Mid-South Coliseum (Feb. 5, 1983).

- Memphis closes its nine-game homestand with a 6-3 record. The nine-game homestand was the program’s longest since its nine-game homestand in 1979-80.
- Memphis committed 16 turnovers versus Tulane today. The Tigers are now 3-4 when they commit 15 or more turnovers in a game this season.
- The Tigers won the rebound battle 39-37 versus Tulane today. Memphis is now 8-2 when it out-rebounds its opponents.
- With today’s loss, the Tigers’ record at FedExForum is now 184-24 (.885 winning percentage). The 184 homecourt wins are the most at the NCAA Division I level since 2004-05.

- Austin Nichols netted a career-high 28 points versus Tulane. He shot 13-of-19 from the field, both career bests for FGM and FGA.
- Austin Nichols blocked four shots today. It is his 11th multi-block game of the season and the 23rd of his career.
- Austin Nichols now has 46 blocks this season (13 games). He had 42 blocks last season (34 games).
- Austin Nichols hit his first career three-pointer vs. Tulane. Nichols’ trey came late in the first half and tied the game at 25-all.
- Trahson Burrell scored only six points versus Tulane today. It ended a string of six-straight, double-figure scoring performances.
- Today’s game was the first time since Nov. 27 versus Baylor that either Trahson Burrell or Avery Woodson did not score in double figures. Either Burrell or Woodson had netted double digits in the Tigers’ last nine games.
- Nick King dressed today, but did not play. King missed his second-straight game as the result of suffering a sprained ankle in the Tigers’ Dec. 30 practice.
