- With tonight’s win, Memphis improved its series record to a perfect 3-0 vs. Indiana State.
- Before tonight’s meeting, the last time the Tigers and Sycamores faced each other was the 1981-82 season. Memphis won that encounter 101-89 at the Mid-South Coliseum in the Bluff City.
- The win also improved the Tigers’ record vs. Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) foes to 32-33. This season, Memphis is 1-1 vs. the MVC. Earlier this season, the Tigers fell to No. 11 Wichita State 71-56 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

- With tonight’s win, Memphis avoided a 1-3 record to start a season. The last time the Tigers began a season 1-3 was the 2000-01 campaign, John Calipari’s first as head coach at Memphis. In fact, Memphis began that season with a 4-8 record.
- With tonight’s victory, Memphis avoided back-to-back losses. The last time the Tigers suffered consecutive losses was near the start of the 2012-13 season – 70 games ago (losses were to VCU and Minnesota in Battle 4 Atlantis).
- After tonight’s win, Memphis is now 2-3 in games played in Las Vegas.
