Memphis Football Awards Banquet Set For Sunday

The Memphis Football Program will celebrate its season during the 2014 Tiger Football Banquet, hosted by the Highland Hundred, Sunday at the University of Memphis Holiday Inn.
The public is invited to attend Sunday’s commemorative event in which the DeAngelo Williams Most Valuable Player as well as the team’s True Tiger awards will be presented.
Other major rewards to be presented that night are the Joey Allison Special Teams Player of the Year, the Isaac Bruce Offensive Player of the Year and the John Bramlett Defensive Player of the Year. The Glenn Jones Offensive and Defensive Scout Team Players of the Year will also be honored.
Cocktail hour prior to the event is set for 5 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m.
Tickets, which are $80 per guest, are available online at highlandhundred.org. Fans can also purchase a table for a total of four guests and will be seated with four student-athletes, coaches or staff. Table reservations are $300 per table.
The bowl-bound Tigers close out the regular season Saturday at 3 p.m., playing host Connecticut. Memphis has won its last five games and is 8-3 on the year, 6-1 in conference play. Memphis will be playing for its first conference title since 1971 on Saturday.
