Tigers in Third at Bridgestone Golf Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Memphis men’s golf team sits in a tie for third place at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate after shooting a 296-294 in the first two rounds at Grandover Resort. The Tigers have two players in the top-20 going into the final day of action.

Cory Gaylord (73-70—143) leads the team and is in a tie for seventh-place going into the final day. Freshman Ben Pearson is two strokes behind Gaylord at 145 (72-73) and is tied for 13th in his second tournament of the fall. Rounding out the Tigers squad is Thomas Perrot (148), John Luke Tyner (149) and Kevin Lee (150), making all five players for the Blue and Gray in the top 37 of the field.
