Memphis Madness Details Finalized

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis athletics department released the final details and timeline for Saturday's Memphis Madness event Thursday.
The annual Tigers basketball preseason celebration is presented by Ashley Furniture Homestore and is expected to draw a capacity crowd to FedExForum Saturday evening. Fewer than 1,500 tickets remain for sale at the university box office and online at gotigersgotix.com. If any tickets remain unsold Saturday morning, they will be made available for cash-only sales at the FedExForum box office beginning at noon.
Activities on FedExForum's outdoor plaza will begin at 4 p.m. with appearances by the Mighty Sound of the South, the Tiger Spirit Squads, Pouncer and a live DJ. Doors open to the public at 5 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid long lines entering the building. Patrons will be subject to NBA security procedures, including handwanding, for this event.
The first 1,000 fans will receive a voucher for player autographs, and the first 10,000 fans will receive a free schedule poster.
A free live video stream of Memphis Madness can be watched online on the Memphis Tiger Network at http://www.gotigersgo.com/collegesportslive/?media=467062. The video stream will include all of the men's and women's basketball events, but will not include the Rick Ross performance.

5:15-5:45 pm Women's Basketball Hosts On-Court Fan Contests
5:45-6 pm On-floor promotions, giveaways and fan activities
6-6:15 pm Tiger Spirit Squads Perform
6:15-6:35 pm Team Introductions (Women's/Men's)
6:35-6:45 pm Tigers Dunk Showcase
6:45- 7 pm Shooting Stars Competition featuring Tiger Legends
7-7:30 pm Rick Ross Performance
