Eight Former Tigers on NFL Rosters

The list of former Tigers in the NFL include rookie defensive lineman Dontari Poe who was picked in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Veterans from the U of M on NFL rosters include New England Patriots place kicker Stephen Gostkowski, St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Kellen Heard and Miami Dolphins offensive guard Artis Hicks. The list of veterans also includes Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Clinton McDonald, Houston Texans offensive guard Wade Smith and Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams.
Wide receiver Duke Calhoun is currently on the Oakland Raiders' injured reserve list.
Also named to practice squads of NFL teams were rookies Ronald Leary and Frank Trotter. Leary, an offensive lineman, is on the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad while Trotter, a defensive tackle, is on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. Second-year offensive tackle Charlie Bryant is on the San Diego Chargers' practice squad.
The 2012 NFL season begins Wednesday night Leary's Cowboys taking on the New York Giants.
