TEAM GAME NOTES
• Captains for today's game were DB Marcus Ball, LB Jamon Hughes and OL Tommy Walker.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
• Marcus Rucker hauled in a season-high 37-yard reception from Ryan Williams with just over nine minutes remaining in the first quarter. It was the longest reception for the Tigers this season. Billy Foster and Jerrell Rhodes both have had 35-yard receptions from Williams this season.
• Jerrell Rhodes busted through for a 22-yard rushing touchdown with 12:41 remaining in the second quarter to put Memphis within seven, 14-7. It was Rhodes' second career TD and his first rushing score. He scored earlier this season on a 35-yard reception versus East Carolina. Rhodes finished with 62 yards rushing on 10 attempts with an average of 6.2 yards per carry.
• Ryan Williams left the game with an injury with about eight minutes remaining in the second quarter. He was replaced by sophomore Cannon Smith. Williams was 5-of-11 for 64 yards before leaving the game.
• Cannon Smith finished with 18 yards passing, completing four of eight attempts.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
• Dasmine Cathey dropped G.J. Kinne for a one-yard sack on 3rd-and-goal from the Memphis five-yard line, forcing Tulsa to convert a 23-yard field goal. It was Cathey's third sack of the season. He also logged sacks versus UTEP and East Carolina. Cathey has registered a TFL in the last four straight games.
• Senior linebacker Jamon Hughes led the team with 12 tackles. Hughes has led the defense in tackles in all five games this season and the last nine-straight games dating back to lastseason. It is the third time this year he has had double-digit tackles.
• Sophomore linebacker DeRon Furr had a career best 10 tackles in the game.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
• Junior Delmon Robinson had a career high 99 kick return yards on six returns. He averaged 16.5 yards per return with a long of 19 yards.
