MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis sophomore forward Joey Dorsey was released from the hospital mid-morning Thursday, and is doing fine after tests were negative.
"Joey is looking good," said head coach John Calipari. "After being released this morning, he came by the Finch Center for a couple of minutes and said he was ready to start working out again.
"We felt that Joey was fine, but we wanted to take some precautionary measures to make sure everything was OK."
The 6-foot-9 Baltimore, Md., native was relaxing in the Finch Center players' lounge Tuesday afternoon when he experienced some minor chest pain. Dorsey was taken that afternoon to Baptist Memorial East Hospital, where he underwent tests.
