DeAngelo Williams Named to Hossman Trophy Watch List

COLUMBUS, OHIO - University of Memphis junior running back DeAngelo Williams was named to the Hossman Trophy Watch List by the Hossman Football Club of Columbus. Williams is the only Conference USA player on the current watch list. The Hossman Trophy is presented annually to the National Player of the Year in College Football that has demonstrated outstanding athletic skill regardless of position. The award winner will be determined by The Hossman Football Club of Columbus (Ohio). Voters for all Hossman Football Club collegiate awards include members of the Hossman Football Club, Division I-A head coaches, and select sportswriters and sportscasters from across the country. Last year's winner was Larry Fitzgerald of the University of Pittsburgh. The Hossman Football Club of Columbus will release a Hossman Trophy top 10 Finalists list on October 25, 2004.
