MEMPHIS, TENN. - University of Memphis Head Coach Joye Lee-McNelis announced today that freshman guard Ashley Shields has been ruled ineligible.
"Due to the initial eligibility guidelines set forth by the NCAA, Ashley has been ruled ineligible for this coming year," said McNelis. "It is unfortunate, but in life, we face challenges, and I think Ashley will meet this challenge head-on."
