NIT Victory Parade Slated for Downtown Memphis Saturday

A victory parade for the National Invitation Tournament champion Memphis Tigers is scheduled for Saturday on Beale Street.

The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. at the corner of 2nd and Beale Streets and will proceed on Beale to W.C. Handy Performing Arts Park for a special presentation.

The University of Memphis posted a 27-9 record this season, defeating Temple 78-77 and South Carolina 72-62 last week in New York to capture the school's first NIT title.
