Men's Tennis Falls to New Orleans, 5-2

The University of New Orleans (18-4) men's tennis team handed the University of Memphis (10-8) its second straight loss after six victories , triumphing, 5-2, this afternoon at the Lakefront Tennis Courts.
UNO started the match with 8-5 victories at Nos. 2 & 3 doubles to gain the doubles point. The Privateers swept the doubles competition with a hard fought, 9-8(2), triumph at the No. 1 position.
The Tigers of Memphis fought back with straight set wins at Nos. 4 & 5 singles to take the lead, 2-1, before sophomore Viktor Loven defeated Memphis' Joe Schmulian, 6-0, 7-5, to even the score at 2. Senior Sebastien Locatelli came from behind to the Tigers' Richard Magney, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, to push UNO ahead for good, 3-2.
The work wasn't over though, with Memphis up a break in the third set of the final two matches, but freshman Abedin Sham and sophomore Mike Chkroun each won four of their last five games to claim victory for UNO.
Memphis faces Lamar, Saturday, in a wrap up to their road schedule at Tulane University.
