David Jeans Has Hole-in-One at Alabama Tournament

Tuscaloosa, AL - The University of Memphis freshman golfer David Jeans had his first hole-in-one in competition but the Tigers turned in a first round team score of 312 and find themselves in 11th place after the first round of the Alabama Spring Invitational.
Jeans' ace came on the 213 yard par 3 12th hole of Jerry Pate's newly constructed Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The College of Charleston has a one stroke lead over host Alabama and Vanderbilt entering the second round of play. Charleston posted a score of 293 to better Alabama and Vanderbilt's 294. Southeastern Louisiana and South Florida round out the top five teams. Memphis is in at 312.
John Pitt of Vanderbilt is the individual leader after firing an opening round of 69. SE Louisiana's Ramon Garcia is one stroke back at 70. Memphis is led by senior Jason Wyatt who had a score of 78.
