MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Dajuan Wagner scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half, leading No. 20 Memphis to an 86-54 victory over Christian Brothers on Wednesday night.
Wagner hit 11 of his first 23 shots and led the Tigers (5-2) to a double-digit lead midway through the first half.
Despite the 32-point victory, the Tigers played with little emotion and struggled against the Division II Christian Brothers.
Kelly Wise had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Memphis. Earl Barron and Antonio Burks each added 10 points.
Adam Heitzman and Joshua Moses each scored 18 points for Christian Brothers (1-3).
Memphis charged to a 31-16 lead in the first half, but failed to capitalize on its size advantage.
Barron had eight points in the first half, but four came from the foul line.
The Buccaneers shot 7-for-25 and committed 14 turnovers in the first half.
Christian Brothers shot 46.2 percent in the second half and 35.2 percent in the game.
Christian Brothers tied the game at 10 midway through the first half, but Memphis went on a 13-0 run and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Memphis scored the first 10 points of the second half, pushing its lead to 22 points and allowing Calipari to substitute freely.
