Men's Hoops Edges Houston On The Road, 84-81

HOUSTON (AP) - Courtney Trask scored 23 points, 12 of them from the foul line, in Memphis' 84-81 victory over Houston Wednesday.
Trask went 5-of-8 from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc, to lead Tigers (11-16, 4-9 C-USA) scorers. Earl Barron contributed 11 points and led in rebounds with nine, while Shyrone Chatman and Shamel Jones each added 10 points.
After trailing 41-30 at halftime, the Cougars (8-18, 2-11) outscored Memphis 51-43 in the second half.
The Cougars went 15-for-34 (44 percent) from the field in the second half compared to 12-for-31 (39 percent) in the first and improved on the foul line going 17-for-21 (81 percent) compared to 5-for-13 (39 percent) in the first half.
George Williams led the Cougars in scoring with 17 points and in rebounding with 15. Gee Gervin and Torrence Botts each had 16 points.
