Tiger Volleyball Falls to South Florida, 3-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-- - The University of Memphis volleyball team (6-11, 0-5) remains winless in Conference USA with a 3-0 loss to South Florida in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse, Friday.
The Tigers battled with USF in game one, leading 3-0 before South Florida's offense picked up. The score remained close, with USF leading 8-6, before the Bulls put the Tigers away, 15-8.
Game two and three was all South Florida, with Memphis hitting negative in both games and finishing hitting .069 for the match.
South Florida's serving game frustrated Memphis throughout the match as the Bulls recorded eight service aces for the match. Sophomor e outside hitter Michelle Collier led USF with 15 kills while senior April Harriman accounted for 13 of the Tigers' 24 kills in the match.
Memphis' homestand continues against Houston, Saturday, at 7 p.m. That match is also team night where local teams can gain free admittance if they are wearing their team jerseys.
