Wesley Funk joined the Memphis Athletic Department in August 2018, working within the Learfield wing of the department until moving into his current role as Director of Annual Fund & Letterwinner Relations within the Memphis Athletics Fund (MAF) in December 2025.

Funk had most recently spent two years as the Director of Ticket Sales with Learfield Amplify, overseeing the ticketing sales team and creating ticket sales plans and promotions.

He also spent time within Learfield as the Assistant Director of Development. In that role over two years, Funk oversaw the development team responsible for building out outbound call campaigns and outbound stewardship for the MAF, as well as providing service to existing MAF donors.

Funk spent three years as an account executive within Memphis' Learfield department, providing customer service to current ticket members and donors, while also being responsible for outbound ticket sales efforts.

His first experience at Memphis came as a property assistant with Learfield Amplify, spending eight months being responsible for in-game sponsorship activations.

Funk holds a bachelor's degree in sports and leisure management from the University of Memphis.
