Reese Barden

Volunteer Data/Video Analyst

Barden joined the Memphis men's soccer staff as a volunteer analyst ahead of the 2026-27 athletic season. In his role, he assists with video analysis and scouting of opponents, data visualizations and key metrics, as well as providing team reports and collaborating on performance points during the men's soccer training schedule.

Prior to coming to Memphis, Barden had worked in coaching roles with Tactalyse since 2024 and became the Co-Founder and Director of Coaching for West Texas Academia de Futbol since 2022.

Barden was also a member of the 2020-21 West Texas A&M University men's soccer staff during the 2020-21 campaign, where the Buffs won the regular season and tournament titles in the Lone Star Conference, finishing with a No. 7 ranking at the NCAA Division II level.

Barden also spent time working as a Sporting Director for FC Dallas WTX's Permian Basin branch from 2019-20 after beginning as a Technical Assistant for the Houston Dynamo/Dash Development Academy.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Barden finished his playing career overseas for Svenborg fB in the Danish 1st Division under Bjørn Holm in Svendborg, Denmark, during the 2017/18 season; where he also earned his UEFA “B” License from Oure Akademi in Denmark.

Barden's collegiate career includes stints at West Texas A&M and the University of Texas Permian Basin. He also played two seasons with the Midland-Odessa Sockers in 2014 and 2017, where he helped the Sockers to an NPSL South Region Championship and a National Championship appearance in 2017.
