Johnson joined the Memphis Athletic Department in August 2026 as the Director of Stadium Events, part of Memphis' events & facilities team. In his role, he oversees external event coordination, parking operations, partnership engagement and stadium event logistics for Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Previously, Johnson was the assistant director of facilities & event management at the University of Alabama, managing daily and event operations for several sports throughout Tuscaloosa.

Prior to his time at Alabama, he spent four years as a stadium operations coordinator with the Tennessee Titans, managing the operational planning and conversions for all events at Nissan Stadium.

Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in sports management from Middle Tennessee State University, along with a master's degree in sports administration from Tennessee State University.
