Jazmine Mitchell joined the Memphis Athletic Deparmtent in a full-time role as the Associate Director of Athletic Stewardship and Engagement after spending a multitude of years working as an alumni engagement coordinator within the department.
In her current role, Mitchell plans and executes athletics donor stewardship and engagement initiatives, coordinates donor hospitality and premium event experiences and oversees event logistics.
Mitchell's time at Memphis began while working as a student employee, graduate assistant and then alumni engagement coordinator from 2019-26. SHe advanced through progressive roles while completing her bachelor's and master's degree programs. She led alumni engagement initiatives, coordinated university and regional events, managed the Student Ambassador Program, oversaw event logistics and communications, and partnered with campus departments to strengthen alumni, donor and community engagement.
She also played a strong role in developing and maintaining relationships with alumni volunteers, supporting strategic outreach efforts and contributing to programs that enhanced university engagement and fundraising objectives.
Mitchell earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Exercise, Sport & Movement Sciences from the University of Memphis, completing her bachelor's degree in December 2020 and her master's in May 2023.
