Christine Klauser joined the Memphis Athletics Department as an Athletic Turf Specialist in February 2024.

In her current role, Klauser maintains and prepares both natural and artificial turf areas by mowing, fertilizing, seeding, weeding and lining fields. She also ensures that athletic grounds and fields are free of debris and remain in optimal playing condition for the safety of coaches, athletes and staff.

Klauser has also worked in local garden centers since 2013, which she credits as where her passion for horticulture began. She originally began working at the University of Memphis in September 2021 as a landscape worker within the University's Physical Plant department. While working with the university, Klauser assisted in campus greenhouses, growing, planting and maintaining flower beds and containers on the Main, South and Law School campuses.

Klauser, a Memphis native, graduated from the Memphis Area Master Gardeners program in 2020 and is currently working towards attaining a degree in horticulture from the University of Memphis.
