Ashley Daniel joined Memphis Athletics in January 2022. Before coming to Memphis, Daniel was part of the Southwest Tennessee Community College softball coaching staff where she served as the team's pitching coach from 2018-22. During her time, Daniel coached pitchers who set school, conference, and national records in the NJCAA.

Before her time at Southwest, Daniel owned a softball training facility in Arkansas.

Daniel received her bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arkansas State University in 2013. She later received her master's degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State in 2020. Daniel enjoys spending her free time with her family and watching softball.
