Career
Tiffany Adkins is one of two seniors who transferred to the UofM from neighboring SEC schools. Adkins, an instrumental part of the Lady Tigers’ success the last two years, transferred to Memphis from Ole Miss and made an immediate impact on the squad in just two years. She ended her career ranked seventh in the Lady Tiger record books for scoring average in a career as she averaged 16.8 points per game. She led the 2000-01 squad in scoring and rebounding with 18.3 points and 7.7 boards a game. A candidate for all-America honors, Adkins was named to the C-USA first team in her final season at Memphis. As a senior, she also received honors as the Lady Tiger Classic Most Valuable Player, and was named a Conference USA Player of the Week in November after scoring a career-high 37 points in the win over Mississippi State. In 2000-01, Adkins led the Lady Tigers in scoring in 21 games, and rebounding in 13 games. She scored 20 or more points in 12 games, and totaled nine career double-doubles. As a junior, Adkins was an all-C-USA honoree who made an immediate impact on the squad upon gainug her eligibility nine games into her junior season. She scored in double-figures in 16 of 21 games played and led the squad in scoring with 15.1 points per game. Adkins was also the only Lady Tiger to score more than 30 points in a game with a then career-high 36 versus Arkansas St. in the WNIT. While in the starting lineup, Adkins led Memphis to a 12-6 record. At the end of a stellar junior season, Adkins was named the team’s Most Outstanding Player and Best Offensive Player, as well as third-team all-C-USA.
