2017 (Junior):Â
An All-AAC first team selection, Woerner started all 20 matches for the Tigers … was one of the three team captains … she scored a team-high 11 goals on the year … netted two goals in the 3-0 victory over Samford … four of her goals were game-winning scores … her four game-winners is tied for a program record for juniors … as a starting forward this season, Woerner had the green light to shoot early and often, and she took full advantage of that, taking 61 shots, which places her at fourth all-time for juniors at Memphis … Woerner also recorded three assists on the season, in matches against Idaho (9/15), USF (9/28), and UConn (11/1) … Woerner was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll twice.
2016 (Sophomore):
Woerner started 19 of the 20 games in which she appeared in 2016 … scored five goals during the season, she had multiple goal games against UT Martin (9/18) and SMU (10/20), as well as a single goal against ECU (10/6) … in two of the three games in which she scored, her goals were the game winners, placing third on the team in that category … an effective passer as well, Woerner logged five assists, spreading the wealth in a rich Tiger offense … she was named to the AAC All-Academic team … named an AAC Player of the Week for the week of (10/24).
2015 (Freshman):
Starting 17 matches and playing in 18 of the 19 games … scored four goals and had one assist to finish with nine points for the season … logged 1,544 minutes as a true freshman … started the season with a bang, scoring the game-winner against Alabama to open the campaign … scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Dartmouth … netted the game-winning goal in the thrilling 4-3 overtime win over Idaho … her final goal of the season came on the road against UCF … assisted on Marie Levasseur’s game-winning goal against Cincinnati on the road.
Prior to Memphis:
Spent fall semester of her freshman year at Petamula High School in Calif., where she was the 2011 Offensive Player of the Year ... moved to Bloomington, Ill. for the second semester of her freshman season, where she became the conference’s leading scorer at Normal Community High School, who has a spring soccer season … played for Eclipse Select Soccer Club her sophomore and junior years for coach Rory Dames .. helped Eclipse to Illinois State Cup Championships in 2013 and 2014, Midwest Championship in 2012, Disney Soccer Showcase Championship in 2014 and 2014 ECNL National Finalists.
Personal:
The daughter of Dave and Karla Woerner … her hobbies include hiking, spending time with friends and family, and baking … she was the spirit leader at all athletic events in high school and was on the honor roll her senior year ... majoring in psychology.
