First-year transfer won his first event with the U of M, at the Rhodes Open with a 58.77m (192' 10") javelin toss... Won the SEMO Invite with a 57.16m (187' 6") throw...Finished fourth at the Mississippi Open (56.65m; 185' 10") one day after winning the Vanderbilt Invitational (57.32m; 188' 1")... Set a personal-best during his fourth-place finish at the C-USA Championships with a 61.67m (202' 4") toss.

Prior to Memphis
Attended Bethel University as a freshman...won the Mid-South Conference Championship in javelin and was an all-conference thrower with a final toss of 54.38 meters...Played football and competed in discus at Bartlett High School...made it to the state sectional meet as a junior and senior in discus...As a running back/linebacker/punter, was named MVP of the football team his senior season.
