Outlook for 2008: Very projectable left handed hitter slated for opportunities at first base or in the DH role. Will provide power as strength improves. Has potential to develop into a middle-of-the-order hitter.
Prep: Was a three-year varsity letterwinner for John MacDonald at Olathe East High School...Helped Olathe East to its best season in school history as they posted a 19-4 mark and claimed the 2007 Sunflower League Championship and the 2007 6A Regional title...Earned First Team All-State Kansas 6A, Kansas City Metro, Johnson County, Sunflower League, All Sun News and Olathe honors...Was tabbed a Kansas Gatorade All-State performer...Miller led the team with a .492 batting average, 32 hits, 29 RBI and four home runs...Scored 15 runs...Legged out three doubles and two triples...Was a perfect 7-for-7 in the stolen base category...Went 2-for-4 with three RBI a home run and a run scored in OEHS's Regional Championship win over BV North...Ended his prep career by going 3-for-3 with two RBI in the Kansas State tournament...2006: Helped lead the Hawks to a 40-19 record in 2006...Led the Sunflower League in home runs in his junior season...Was one of just over 200 players from across the country selected to participate in the prestigious Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif....Was just one of seven players from Kansas and Missouri selected for the games...Was the starting first-baseman and clean-up batter for the amateur Chicago White Sox...Finished his high school career with a .444 batting average.
