After joining the starting lineup against Eastern Illinois following a recovery from an early injury, Gourlay played an active role in the Tigers' defensive scheme, helping Memphis go 14-3-1 during the stretch ... The freshman from Glasgow, Scotland started all 18 games he appeared in, aiding the Tigers in their five conference shutouts during the stretch, including 2-0 victories against No. 21 Saint Louis and No. 17 UAB ...
