MEMPHIS, Tenn. The University of Memphis men's tennis team picked up a nail-biting win over Rice Friday night with a 4-3 victory at Leftwich Tennis Center.

While the Owls took the doubles point with two quick wins, the Tigers came back swinging in singles competition. After wins from No. 98 Conor Gannon, Sam Reeve, and Pablo Alemany, Harry Rock sealed the match for Memphis with a 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 win on court three.

This is the second ranked win for the Tigers this month.

The Tigers will turn around quick with a doubleheader on Sunday against Tennessee Tech and Mississippi Valley State at Leftwich Tennis Center.
