Tigers Fall in Opening Day Head-to-Head Matches

GULFPORT, Miss. – The University of Memphis women's golf team faced back-to-back losses on day one of the Great River Cup falling to Southern Mississippi 4-1 and to Middle Tennessee 5-0. The Tigers will take on Utah Valley Tuesday morning. Tee times will be released later tonight.
Tilly Garfoot won her head-to-head against Southern Mississippi coming in a five over par against Louise Cuyvers (+7). Claire Swathwood and Nutsanun Khamphueng just missed their opponents falling by one and two strokes, respectively.
In the second match of the day, the Blue Raiders took all five match ups.
