KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four members of the 2025 Memphis women's soccer team – Abby Kudla, Ai Kitagawa, Ashley Henderson and Finley Lavin – were named to the All-South Region First Team, as voted upon by the United Soccer Coaches.
The Tigers were one of two teams (Colorado) to put four on their All-Region teams. They finished the season 17-1-3 and ranked sixth in goal differential (+39).
This is the second honor this week for Lavin, who was named a 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. Fans can vote for the Memphis captain HERE. Along with Kudla in net, the Tigers allowed just 14 goals in 21 games, posting 14 shutouts including seven in 10 conference games.
Kitagawa, a sophomore, built upon her American Conference Freshman of the Year season with an even stronger 2025 campaign. Behind 10 goals and five assists, she also posted four game-winners capped by a first-half brace in her NCAA Tournament debut against Illinois on November 15. The Japan native will head into her junior year with 16 goals and 11 assists already to her name.
Henderson posted 10 goals and nine assists in 2025, winning American Conference Offensive Player of the Year. The Memphis native broke the program record in shots (101).
