Wilson in Top Five, Tigers Tied for Seventh Following Day One at Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's golf team had a hot start to the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate sitting in a tie for seventh place while Emily Wilson is in the top five following round one.
Memphis, who goes into tomorrow's second round at six over par and tied for TCU, is just 10 strokes behind current leader, Tennessee.
Wilson, who finished today's round two under par, saw success on the back nine of the course with three birdies on holes 13, 16 and 17. Pavarisa Jongpipttaporn goes into the second round at two over par while Tilly Garfoot and Claire Todd are both not far behind at three over par.
Claire Swathwood rounds out the group at five over par.
