Mulrooney Adds Magda, Slim to 2024 Roster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head men's soccer coach Richard Mulrooney continues to grow his team with the addition of Samuel Magda and Karim Slim to the 2024 roster.
"We are excited to have Samuel and Karim join our Memphis family," Mulrooney said. "With these two signings I believe we are strengthening our roster to help us compete for a conference championship next season."
Samuel Magda | Midfield/Defense | Kosice, Slovakia | Technical University of Kosice
Magda comes to Memphis after a prolific career in Slovakia where he was also a representative of the U19 National Team during the 2021-22 season. Magda recorded nine starts with an assist against Norway. Currently with KFC Komarno, Magda has made nine appearances with the A-Team while helping to lead the team to a first-place standing this season.
This past season, Magda was part of the FC Kolsice team that placed second in the Slovakian Division and was promoted to First League.
Karim Slim | Forward | Beirut, Lebanon | Thomas More University
Slim comes to Memphis after one season at Division II Thomas More University where he appeared in 18 matches while making three starts for the Saints. Slim finished the season tied for second on the team with five goals – four of which came in league play – and added an assist to his stat line. His rookie performance earned him Great Midwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors.
