Bracket Set for AAC Men's Soccer Championship

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced times for the postseason matchups, including Memphis' semifinal match on Nov. 13 against an opponent to be determined later. Memphis will host the semifinals and Championship Final.
The Tigers clinched the top overall seed, hosting rights and a first-round bye with a 2-2 draw against FIU on Friday night. After the Florida Atlantic defeated Charlotte, 6-1, Memphis also secured an outright regular season conference title. Charlotte would have needed a win to clinch a share of the title with Memphis.
With its first-round bye, Memphis will play the winner of the first-round match between No. 4 seed Florida Atlantic and No. 5 FIU. The semifinal match will be played at the Billy J. Murphy Track and Soccer Complex on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Tigers are familiar with both Floridian opponents, as they played the Owls and the Panthers in their final two matches of the regular season. Memphis earned a comeback victory against Florida Atlantic by a score of 2-1 and played to a 2-2 draw against FIU two nights ago to clinch the top seed and hosting rights for the AAC Championship semifinals and final.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 seed South Florida will play the winner of the first-round matchup between Charlotte and Temple. That semifinal will be played on Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m. at the Billy J. Murphy Track and Soccer Complex prior to Memphis' semifinal match.
The Championship Final will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 and the time of the match is to be determined.
