MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head women's golf coach Jennifer Jordan has announced the signing of two athletes for the 2025-26 season in Malia Cottriel and Claire Todd.
"I am beyond excited for these two ladies to join our Tiger family," Jordan said. "They both have a tremendous amount of drive and gumption and will blend perfectly with our team and the future of this program!"
Cottriel, a native of Costa Mesa, Calif, comes to Memphis from Newport Harbor High School after recording 70 tournament wins and competed in the USGA Girl's Junior in 2021. A five-time San Diego Junior Golf Tournament Champion, Cottriel was named as the Sunset Conference Player of the Year three times and shot a school-low 29 in a 9-hole match.
Along with golf, Cottriel was a two-sport athlete also competing on the varsity swim team.
Todd, a local of the Bluff City, comes to Memphis after prepping at Evangelical Christian School in Lakeland, Tenn. A three-time Daily Memphian All-Metro Team member, Todd was part of the Tennessee Junior Cup Team hosted by Scott Stallings in 2023 and 2024, won the FCA Invitational twice and took home first place in the Sandra Pitts Invitational and the Optimist.
A two-time Golfer of the Year, Todd finished in fourth place at the TSSAA Golf State Championship in 2023 and 2024 and was named as a finalist for the Memphis Area High School Sports Awards Girls Golfer of the Year in 2023.
