BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Hoosier Classic Sunday afternoon in Bloomington, Indiana.

Five Tigers competed in the event, combining for 10 wins across three days.

Freshman Clemence Thouard closed out the weekend as champion of her flight in singles action after dropping the first set and coming from behind on each of the last two days.

"Great weekend for the Tigers and I loved watching them compete," head coach Hayden Perez said. "Clemence showed some grit and in her last two matches she lost the first sets and came back to win in three sets. Miriam (Grosmann) did the same on Saturday and Emily (Meyer) probably faced the toughest competition of all and did a great job.

"Carlota (Farres) improved each day and I think she learned a lot about herself this weekend and I think things will really start to click for her soon. Rebecca (Frant) picked up her first singles win. She is learning to compete better and we can't wait to watch her continued growth.
