KEY MOMENTS
- 51' – After a dull first half, the Tigers quickly found themselves in a strong attacking position. Gabriel Christensen slid up the right-hand side past his defender and found Adam Yousfi in the box. Yousfi's shot caromed off the leg of a 49er defender and found the back of the net. It was just the sixth goal allowed all season by Charlotte goalkeeper Leonard Stritter.
- 79' – A late yellow card assessed to Dino Stavros gave Charlotte a strong chance with a free kick just outside the box. It resulted in two straight corner kicks that did not find their targets, as Tiger defenders cleared the attempts.
- 88' – With just over two minutes remaining, Ben Fisher had the best chance to equalize to earn a result, but his shot was wide right, allowing Memphis a goal kick and an opportunity to finish out the match to earn a win.
- This is Memphis' highest ranked victory since defeating Missouri State, who was also ranked ninth, on Oct. 4 last season, by the same score of 1-0.
- Both squads managed to record exactly three shots on goal, which ties Memphis' season low at Mercer on Sept. 5.
- After recording 12 shots on goal against USF, Charlotte has a combined total of three shots on goal in its last two matches (zero at Saint Louis, three at Memphis).
- Filip Sabatti moves to 6-2-1 in goal with his third straight clean sheet of the 2024 campaign.
- Three 49ers received yellow cards: Riyon Tori, Natsuki Ogata and Alessandro Negri.
- For Memphis, Dino Stavros was the only player to be assessed a yellow card.
