MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the second time this season, Saorla Miller and Kaylie Bierman have been named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Awards List.
Miller, a 5th year out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, picks up her second Offensive Player of the Week nod after another impressive week where she recorded goal numbers four and five at Iowa State. She would also pick up an assist on an insurance goal for the Tigers. Miller currently leads the team and conference with five goals this season.
This is the second AAC Weekly Award for Miller this season and the fifth of her career.
Bierman, a junior out of Grovetown, Ga., was named to the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll after making four saves against the Cyclones, including a penalty kick shot, in route to her fourth win of the season. Bierman, who has now made 13 saves this season, currently ranks in the top-three in the AAC in goals against average (0.70) and save percentage (0.81).
