Men’s Golf Opens at Folds of Honor Collegiate

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's golf opens their season this week at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich. The three-day tournament opens on Labor Day Monday, Sept. 4 and will run through Wednesday, Sept. 6."The season opener is always a time of excitement and anticipation. We have had an excellent summer and are in a good position to start the season off strong." Had coach Blake Smart remarked. "This will be a special event for the guys. The Folds of Honor charity is a special one and playing on live TV for the first time all make this an event that we will remember. However, we still have a job to do and will focus on getting the season started off with positive momentum."
This 54-hole tournament will be playing a par-72, 7,213 yard American Dunes Golf Course. The 18-team field includes Air Force, Arizona, Arkansas, Army, Florida A&M, Florida State, Grand Valley State, Howard, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Navy, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Memphis, Oregon, and South Carolina.
