Bierman, Miller Named to American Athletic Conference Weekly Awards List

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following an outstanding opening weekend that saw the Tigers shutout both Southern and Ole Miss, Kaylie Bierman and Saorla Miller have claimed the first Goalkeeper and Offensive Player of the Week awards, respectively.
Bierman, a junior out of Grovetown, Ga., got the start in both matches this weekend where she played part of a combined shutout against Southern and picked up her first solo shutout in a Memphis jersey over Ole Miss. Bierman would make five saves in 135 minutes played over the weekend.
This is the first career AAC Weekly Award honor for Bierman.
Miller, a fifth-year senior from Halifax, Nova Scotia, picked up her fourth career AAC Weekly Award honor after recording three goals over the two matches. The 5-7 forward would notch two goals in the season opener over Southern University before netting the game-winning goal against Ole Miss in the 23' on Sunday evening.
This is the second career Offensive Player of the Week award for Miller and the fourth AAC Weekly Awards honor of her career.
