Jun 20, 2023 | General
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Athletics has announced a new program, "Memphis Cares," which will give fans the ability to make a ticket donation to help different groups in the Memphis community attend games.
During the ticket-buying process or at www.GoTigersGo.com/MemphisCares, fans can choose to donate a ticket to a Tiger game for $10. Memphis Athletics will in turn pool tickets donated through Memphis Cares and distribute them to area community programs, youth organizations and charities to help people they serve attend Memphis football, men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball games.
"We believe everyone should have the chance to experience our games and the excitement around them, and Memphis Cares is a win-win for everyone," University of Memphis Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Laird Veatch said. "Current fans can help make new fans with their donations, and our entire region benefits by helping support the outstanding work being done in our community. Memphis Cares is another way for us all to come together and welcome members from every corner of our community to experience what it means to be a part of the Tiger Family."
Memphis Cares is a rebranding of similar Memphis Athletics programs Hoops For Youth and Seats For Service, whose members will still benefit from donations to Memphis Cares. Last year, Memphis fans donated approximately 3,500 tickets to Hoops For Youth and Seats For Service that were distributed to numerous groups throughout the community.
