Pablo Alemany Lands All-AAC Singles Team Honor

MEMPHIS – Sophomore Pablo Alemany was tabbed to the American Athletic All-Conference
Singles Team, the league office announced Monday.
"Pablo had a terrific season and is very deserving of being a first team all-conference player," head coach Paul Goebel said. "He has worked very hard and continues to improve. It will be fun to see what he can accomplish in his next two seasons here."
The first All-AAC honor of his career comes on the heels of being named the league's Freshman of the Year in 2022.
Alemany led the Tigers with 20 combined victories this season, including a team-best 11 in doubles alongside teammates Pau Fanlo (6-3) and Oscar Cutting (5-5).
In singles play, the Valencia, Spain product earned nine wins at the No. 1 position and spent the entire year ranked in the top 75. Alemany took down two ranked foes, including a 6-1, 6-3 sweep of No. 4 Garrett Johns (Duke) and a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 come from behind victory over No. 103 Jordan Hasson (Oklahoma).
Alemany's highest ranking of the season was 24th in February after beginning the season 6-1.
