Vazquez Named to All-AAC Men’s Golf Team

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis men's golfer Esteban Vazquez was named to the All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
"Esteban has been a leader and tireless worker for three years," Memphis head coach Blake Smart said. "This honor is a first step in what is to come for him."
Vazquez was outstanding for the Tigers this season, earning one top-five, four top-10 and seven top-20 finishes in 12 tournaments. On the year, Vazquez averaged a team-best 18-hole score of 71.58.
The junior reeled off five-straight top-20 finishes during the season, which included his best effort of the year at the Battle at Briar's Creek, where he tied for fifth place with a score of 214 (-2).
