Tigers Blank Green Wave in Regular Season Finale

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Memphis men's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 4-0 blanking of Tulane Saturday afternoon in New Orleans.
The Tigers have now won four of their last five matches while improving to 12-6 overall and 5-1 against American Athletic Conference foes.
Memphis grabbed the doubles point for the 10th time this season. David Stevenson and Jeremy Taylor teamed up in the top slot to for a 6-3 win to get the match started. After the Green Wave evened things up on court two, it all came down to Pablo Alemany and Oscar Cutting, who prevailed 6-4 at No 3 to put the Tigers on top, 1-0.
In singles action, Memphis took wins at the top three slots to get the team victory.
Alemany won 6-3, 6-2 on the top line before Cutting followed with a 7-5, 6-2 victory on court two.
Conor Gannon pulled out the clinch point at the third position after coming from behind to win 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-4.
Memphis gets prepped for the AAC Championship in Orlando, Florida at the UTSA National Campus April 19-22.
