Mulrooney Adds Stavros to 2023 Roster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger men's soccer team has added another new face to the 2023 roster in Dino Stavros.
"Dino is a player that we have been tracking for a couple years now and has proven to be a winner and competitor with one of the top ECNL clubs in the country," said head men's soccer coach Richard Mulrooney. "He is a dynamic player with the ability to play in multiple positions and has all the attributes to be a top-level college player right out of the gate."
Stavros, a 6-1 midfielder from Atlanta, Ga., comes to Memphis after a successful prep career at South Forsyth High School where he helped his team to a 2021 Georgia State Championship win and was a GHSA All-Region and All-State selection. Stavros was a four-year starter, a three-time Offensive MVP and a two-time captain for the War Eagles.
On top of a successful high school career, Stavros is a three-time ECNL Conference Champion and was a 2022 ECNL National Championship finalist. He was also named as a ECNL Player to Watch.
"The expectation for him is that he is coming in to compete right away for an impact role in many different positions. We are excited to see how he will be utilized next season and continue to watch his growth this summer as his club team competes to make another run for a National Title," said Mulrooney.
