Memphis Closes Out Fall Play at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis Tigers men's golf team will travel to Loxley, Ala. to compete in the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational. The two-day tournament opens Saturday, Oct. 28 and will run through Sunday, Oct. 29.
"We are excited to be going back to Steelwood to end the fall season," head coach Blake Smart said. "We had a good week of preparation and need to end in a high note."
The 54-hole course will be hosted by South Alabama and played on the par-72, 7,096-yard course at the Steelwood Country Club. The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and finish with 18 on Sunday.
The 14-team field will be comprised of Alabama, Chattanooga, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Rice, Rutgers, South Alabama, UAB, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Last time out junior Andrew Baucum finished in the top 10, leading the Tigers to a ninth-place finish in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational.
