Tigers Ready for Windon Memorial

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team will head to Chicago to compete in the Windon Memorial on Monday, Sept. 26 through Tuesday, Sept. 27. Live scoring for the tournament can be found at GoTigersGo.com.
"It's a quick turnaround for this event, but it's one of my favorites," head coach Blake Smart said. "I think we gained some valuable experience in Cincinnati with three new guys in the lineup and will be prepared for a great event"
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par 70, 6,885-yard Evanston Golf Club. Teams will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. On Sunday, teams will tee off holes No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8 a.m.
The 14-team field includes Memphis, No. 61-ranked Augusta, Little Rock, No. 45 North Florida, UC Davis, No. 68 Cal Poly, Loyola (MD), No. 36 Northwestern, No. 91 Wisconsin, Indiana, Marquette, No. 88 Oral Roberts, No. 46 Kent State and No. 80 South Florida.
Last time out, sophomore Adam Coull led the Tigers in his debut for the program, tying for eighth place with a score of 211 (-2) at the season-opening Bearcat Invitational. Memphis placed fifth out of 13 teams with a total of 860 (+8).
