Seven Tigers Earn ITA Academic Honors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Seven members of the Memphis Tiger women's tennis team were honored by the ITA as Division I Women's Scholar Athletes.

Miriam Grosmann, Meredith Jones, Emily Meyer, Camila Romero, Aran Teixido Garcia, Dolavee Tumthong and Monique Woog all earned recognition for having a grade point average of at least 3.5. The Tigers also earned team recognition for having a team GPA above 3.2.

"It's great that these players and the team are recognized for their efforts in the classroom," Memphis head coach Hayden Perez said. "They are students first in the grand scheme of things, and we appreciate the dedication they have towards their academics. Go Tigers Go!"
