Reigning AAC Champion Tigers Announce 2022 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following their second American Athletic Conference Championship and their fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, the Memphis Tigers will face a challenging schedule for the 2022 season that includes seven home competitions with, including preseason matches, seven games against Power 5 opponents.
"We are extremely pleased with the schedule we have put together for the fall. The coaching staff feels that the three games we will play in preseason will prepare us for the non-conference slate and that our non-conference portion will prepare us for American Athletic Conference play," said Memphis Tiger head women's soccer coach Brooks Monaghan. "At the end of the day, we try to put together a schedule that sets us up for the NCAA Tournament."
Memphis will kick things off with three exhibition games against Missouri, UT-Martin and Auburn before welcoming Little Rock to the Bluff City for the season opener on August 18th. The Tigers will round out the month at SEC-foe Ole Miss, against Iowa State and at UAB.
September does not lighten up for the Tigers as they make a road swing to Louisville and Virginia to open the month before coming back to Memphis for a Thursday night showdown with future American Athletic Conference member Florida Atlantic. The Tigers will finish non-conference play at Indiana before AAC play starts on Sept.15.
