Tigers Announce Signing of Andrew Baucum

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head men's golf coach Blake Smart announced the signing of Andrew Baucum on Monday. Baucum joins Adam Coull, Jackson McCommon and Cian O'Connor as the program's four signees for the 2022-23 class.
Baucum comes to Memphis after a standout freshman season at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. During his season, Baucum was named American Southwest Conference (ACS) Player of the Year, ACS Freshman of the Year, First-Team All-ASC, GCAA Ping All-Freshman Team and GCAA Ping All-Region Team.
"We are excited to have Andrew join our program," Smart said. "He is a very competitive person with a multi-sport background that I believe will add some grit to the roster."
At Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2021-22, Baucum totaled five individual wins on the season. He also claimed the individual medalist title at the ASC Championship.
During his prep career at Dallas Christian, Baucum was an all-district selection and two-time state medalist in golf. He also earned two MVP honors and was a two-time academic all-state selection. Baucum was also an academic all-state selection in football and participated in basketball.
