Tigers Place Sixth at AAC Championship

PINEHURST, N.C. – The University of Memphis women's golf team finished sixth as a team at the 2022 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship on Tuesday in Pinehurst, N.C. with a three-round team score of 913 (+49).
Tulane won the AAC title with a total of 892 (+28), beating second-round leader Houston by five strokes at Pinehurst No. 6. No. 28-ranked UCF placed third with a score of 897 (+33).
KEY MOMENTS
• Junior Brooke Veres had the round of the day for the Tigers, shooting a 74 (+2) to shoot up the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 14th overall with a score of 226 (+10).
• Both Victoria England and Victoria Gallegos earned top-20 finishes for Memphis, tying for 17th place with totals of 228 (+12).
• Freshman Katie Stinchcomb tied for 25th overall with a score of 231 (+15), while Rebecca Brink took 40th place with a total of 240 (+24).
